Lodge Award Recipients

Founder’s Award

The Founders Award is an award from the National Committee, and is awarded to an Arrowman for exemplary service to his home Lodge. The Lodge may petition the National Order of the Arrow Committee to present two Founders Awards annually to any qualified Brotherhood or Vigil member. If the Lodge presents two or more awards, at least one award must be to a youth member (under 21).

Spirit Award

The “Spirit Award” is given by the lodge each year to one or more Brothers who have shown outstanding “OA Spirit” in the performance of their lodge duties and lodge membership.

Camp Service Award

This award is given by the lodge to one or more Brothers who have shown outstanding service to the council camp above and beyond the normal lodge camp service.

Lodge Adviser’s Award

Presented to committee advisers and other adults by the Lodge Adviser for outstanding service to the lodge.

Chief’s Award

The “Chief’s Award” is given by the lodge each year to one or more youth Arrowmen (under 21) by the Lodge Chief for outstanding service to the lodge.

James E. West Award

James E. West served as the first Chief Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years. The James E. West Fellowship award is presented to those who make a gift contribution of $1,000 or more to the council endowment fund. Beginning in 2018, Kittatinny Lodge contributes one or more gifts to the council endowment fund in honor, in memory, or on behalf of an individual or organization.
