HMC Race Weekend (Aug 28-29) – OA Volunteers Needed

Arrowmen, we need a few volunteers to assist with the HMC Race weekend coming up this Saturday and Sunday (Aug 28-29). Volunteers are needed to help with parking in the morning, as well as monitors for guiding along the race path and other light duties throughout the day. For those who want to help both days, overnight camping will be available at no charge, but you’re responsible for your meals. This is a great way to get all arrowmen in your unit out to do an OA service project / support a Council event together, or serve on your own, and can be used for your Centennial Award for supporting a Council event.

Volunteers need to arrive by 6:30 AM on race days to help with parking. Other tasks will be assigned as needed once you get there. All race events are over by about noon. Check in with the race day Council staff lead at the Welcome Center. If attending, bring A-B Medical, lunch, drinks, and weather appropriate clothing. Races are rain or shine. Class-B with lodge T-shirt is OK to wear. If you are planning to attend, please send an email to adviser@kittatinny5.org
